This means "Be Strong to Be Useful". This philosophy is deeply rooted in Parkour. So why do we train in the rain, wind, and cold? Because, it is those situations which strengthen us mentally to be prepared to overcome any obstacle.

 

will training be cancelled due to inclement weather?

Training will only be cancelled under the circumstances of a weather emergency such as the emergency alerts that get sent to all of our phones. Those include (tornado warnings, flash flood warnings, etc.).

As for cold weather we will be following the Nordic philosophy of Friluftsliv  which translates to "fresh air life". This practice is all about embracing the great outdoors whatever the weather, being active, and immersing yourself in nature.

What to bring to outdoor training? (Cold Weather)

  • Backpack
  • Water
  • Snack
  • Long Sleeve Base Layer
  • Insulating Jacket
  • Waterproof Jacket
  • Gloves for warmth
  • Hat
  • Face covering (Ski mask or Scarf)
  • Change of Socks and Shoes
